Sealed Nectar was first unveiled in our Qaf collection during Ramadan and even then, the value of this single fragrance outweighed the entire collection itself. Orris with an extraordinary 80% irones. French and Indian jasmines, alongside the Sultan’s own jasmine, macerated for over a year in musk at unimaginable ratios. Anchored by beautiful Crassna oud.
Since its debut, we’ve been asked time and again to bring it back. We waited until the launch of the Édition de Musc collection, and now Sealed Nectar finally returns.
This is not a version 2.0. It is the original fragrance, aged for an additional six months since its last release. I took just 0.2 grams of the ghaliyah to write this description, and honestly, that was all that was needed. Unscrewing the cap and placing it to my nose was enough to completely rewire the olfactory system. One whiff, and everything reset to jasmine, orris, and musk settings.
I think this might be my favourite fragrance of the year. The way it moves is extraordinary: notes of narcotic jasmine, rum, blackcurrant fruit, orange flower, neroli and of course, the most expensive orris in the world. What a combination. There is no barn to the musk, only the piercing purity you find in the finest Tibetan grains.
I have never smelt a ghaliyah like this before, and I believe it sets the benchmark for next year’s annual ghaliyah(!) If there is one fragrance I would continue to wear through the autumn and winter season, it is this. It creates an aura of the most precious, most beautiful aromas around you.
This fragrance was inspired and named by one of our teachers, who reflected on the ayah of the Qur’an in which God describes how the inhabitants of Heaven will be given a wine, its seal of which is musk:
“They will be given to drink [pure] wine, sealed. The seal of it will be Musk (Misk). So let those who strive, strive for this.”
(Surah Al-Mutaffifin 83:25-26)
