DESCRIPTION
Five years. We have never let a Private Blend macerate for longer. Bergamot, orange blossom, ylang ylang, lavender, plum, heliotrope, tuberose, gardenia, oakmoss, ruh khus and patchouli, joined by a special wild oud: Jayapura and Lombok agarwood, distilled together. For five years it has rested in our vault, eventually destined to be released for SULAYM’s AW26 collection. A part of us would rather it stayed there, so that every so often we could lift the lid and lose ourselves in its intensity and depth once more.
A chypre brings two worlds together: light and dark, the fresh sparkle of citrus against the deep shadow of the earth. Ours is the forest floor of a magical place in lands far beyond, where the rain falls as fragrant botanicals. With SULAYM’s signature oud at its core, it is what we consider the ultimate chypre. Hence the name.
Bergamot and plum open bright and bittersweet, giving way to a lush heart of orange blossom, tuberose, gardenia and ylang ylang, softened by heliotrope and lavender. Beneath it all, oakmoss, ruh khus, patchouli and wild oud form a dark, mossy, earthy ground, deepened by five years of maceration into something extraordinary.
CHYPRE is intensely powerful. Even breathing it in from the applicator is an experience in itself: let it take over your senses, then return it to the bottle. Only around 50 bottles exist, and we have kept just one for ourselves.
